DVD Camcorders

DVD camcorders are tapeless camcorders that make it possible to record your videos directly onto a DVD. This is very convenient for many people. The DVD recorded in the camera will play back in most home DVD players.

The files on the DVD are created using MPEG-2 with is the standard DVD format. DVD camcorders are targeted at people who are not planning on editing their video.

The DVD is the available to archive just as you would at tape and a stack of DVDs would be smaller than the stack of tapes.
