Editing videoThese are basic editing tips. These can be used for any editing software. 1. Capture the video - Make sure there is plenty of hard drive space 10 gigabytes per hour. 2. Tag your shots - While capturing or after you capture you need to run through the shots. Name the shots start thinking about what story you want to tell. 3. Mark your ins and outs - trim your clips to show the parts of interest. 4. Drag clips to the timeline - Start dragging your clips to the timeline. The time line is the blank page you get to write your story. Line your shots in sequential order. 5. Transitions - Do not go crazy with the fancy transitions between every shot. Keep it simple sparing use the spinning 3-D transitions. Cross fade for the others.
